St. Matthew’s Church has been fortunate to have had excellent stained glass windows installed in the Nave walls, depicting events in the life of our Lord.

These begin by the southeast corner of the building with the Annunciation window. The sequence is ended with the Pentecost window in the southwest corner.

The Clerestory Windows in the upper part of the Nave walls carry on the theme of portraying the Life of our Lord in His saints through the centuries. One saint for each century is presented, beginning with St. Paul for the 1st, at the northeast corner. On the west side of the nave even numbered centuries are represented beginning with Polycarp for the 2nd century in the northwest corner. Clerestory Windows were installed in October of 1974.

The large window (10’X24”) on the south end of the church was installed in 1988. This window and the clerestory windows were executed by Conrad Schmitt Studios of Milwaukee. Mr. Bernard Gruenke, designer.
