The Mission of the Boy Scouts of America is to prepare young people to make ethical and moral choices over their lifetimes by instilling in them the values of the Scout Oath and Law. Our Troop is helping to prepare our youth to become responsible, participating citizens and leaders who are guided by the Scout Oath and Law. We have seven Eagle Scouts who have come through our Troop and are now in college or beyond and are living up to these high standards. It sure is nice to see this. During the year we participated in many outdoor activities and helped the community with many "service hours", including helping in the collection of over 140,000 food items during the annual Scouting For Food program. We will continue to give back to the local community where we live. We want to thank St. Matthew's for all you have done to allow us to provide this Boy Scout program to our youth. It's great to see the youth (and the adults) having so much fun while learning. Remember, all boys age 11 to 18 are invited to join us. Thank you, Ken Specht
