Women's Book Club

The Women’s Book Club of St. Matthew’s meets approximately every month to discuss a book that they have read.  The group chooses books during the dessert portion of the preceding meeting, and any and all suggestions are welcome.  Every genre of book has been read, with some of the most memorable titles being The Sunflower by Simon Wiesenthal; Life of Pi by Yann Martel; and Amazing Grace:  A Vocabulary of Faith by Kathleen Norris.  The meetings themselves take place at book club members’ homes, and typical fare served is fruit, cheese, vegetables and beverages.  Dessert is always served at the end, usually after the book discussion, when the real work of choosing the next book begins!  All women from St. Matthew’s are welcome to join the club for an evening of good company and good discussion.
